Fundraising

🌟 Royal Roots: Campaign Complete and History Made! 🌟

​

KVES Families, thank you. Words cannot fully capture the gratitude we feel for your incredible support of the Royal Roots campaign!

Together, we did more than just meet our goal—we crushed it!

  • Total Raised: Over $25,000 (far exceeding our $20,000 goal!)

  • Family Participation: 50% of our families participated!

This record-breaking success will ensure our PTA can fund essential programs and resources that enrich every student's learning experience this year. We are so proud of our KVES Royals for their enthusiasm and generosity!

And yes, it happened! The ultimate grand prize was secured, and we are delighted to confirm that Principal Rogers got Slimed!

 

Thank you again for cultivating the strong roots our school needs to thrive. We couldn't have done it without you!

Royals Family Night Out

A huge thank you for your amazing support at our last Royals Family Night Out — Chick-fil-A was a big success! 🙌 We’re so grateful to all the families who came out and enjoyed the evening together. Ms. Mulhall’s class had the highest participation and received a special prize from Chick-fil-A! 

We also had a surprise visit from Chuck E. Cheese mouse, which made the evening even more fun.Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Family Night on Thursday, November 13!

These monthly gatherings are a fun way to enjoy a meal or dessert while helping us raise important funds for our school.  Your participation truly makes a difference! 💙✨

🍂 Fall Family Fun!

BINGO NIGHT
A huge thank you to all the families who joined us for Bingo Night ! 🎉
It was wonderful to see everyone come together for an evening of fun, games, and community. Your participation makes a real difference and helps support our school. 🙌

Our Winter Family Event is coming on Thursday, January 22, 2026!

Join us for a fun-filled Beach Ball Volleyball Tournament — yes, in the middle of winter! 🏐❄️ Mark your calendars for a night of laughter, friendly competition, and school spirit! 

 

Holiday Shop! 🐧✨

The wait is almost over! Our Penguin Patch Holiday Shop returns December 8–12 — a beloved tradition where students can shop for that special gift for family and friends. It’s a fun and magical way to celebrate the season!

 

Hospitality

This month, we treated our amazing teachers to candy and popcorn, and they truly enjoyed this sweet moment! 🍭🍿 A special thanks to all the parents who donated and helped make this treat possible — your support is greatly appreciated!

5th Grade Families!

The 5th Grade steering committee has begun work on planning fun activities and events for our inaugural 5th Grade Class! These activities include:

  • 5th Grade T-Shirts 

  • Quarterly Activities Just for 5th Grade

  • Promotion Week Events (e.g., rec center pizza party, cookout, yearbook signing/ ice cream party, visit from the fire truck)

  • Official Promotion Ceremony

  • Contribution towards a Legacy Gift from the Class of 2026 to the school

To cover the costs associated with these special events and materials, the Steering Committee has established an Activity Fee of $45 per student.

  • This single, all-inclusive fee ensures that every student can participate in the exciting activities listed above.

  • The students will also participate in a few small fundraisers throughout the year (e.g., a car wash, event concessions and other small events). The funds raised will help offset activity costs and increase the contribution to the Legacy Gift.

Financial Assistance: Please know that financial assistance is available. If paying the activity fee presents a hardship, please contact our 5th Grade Counselor, Ms. Reddick at ashleys.reddick@cms.k12.nc.us to discuss options confidentially.
